Today we decided to check out a dormant volcano. We hopped on the same ferry that took us to Devenport, but continued to Rangitoto Island, a dormant volcano!

Here we hopped on a shuttle pulled by a tractor and headed up to the summit of the volcano.

The ride was extremely bumpy and dusty. Saw lots of lava flow areas.

Once we got towards the summit, we had to take a boardwalk the rest of the way. There were a few photo opportunities on the way.

And finally the crater of Rangitoto Island.
We took the ferry home and rested a bit at the hostel. We spent the rest of the day walking around Auckland city shopping and eating. They have lots of video arcades here. Also a lot of places where you can pay to play computer games like Quake, C&C, Age of Empires, and lots more. I was watching a kid play Team Fortress, and Felix, I think these guys would kick your ass! I'll ask if they have a Clan and see if they'll challenge you!
